Mender’s Strife Character Bios:
Summary: Raised to follow in her mother’s footsteps as an esteemed Mender who is dedicated to helping those in need, Marah insists on blazing her own trail in life instead. Stubborn yet good-hearted, Marah yearns to fight with her brains and brawn instead of piles of bandages and herbs. She’s extremely protective of her younger sister, Bethel, and would do anything to make sure Bethel and Gramma stay safe.
Summary: Bethel is Marah’s younger sister. She looks up to Marah but would never admit to it. Too intelligent for her own good at times, witty, proud, and smart-mouthed, Bethel never hesitates to toss her opinions into the mix—whether her opinions are asked for or not. She’s rather protective of Marah, but is more of an intellectual than a fighter.
Summary: Grandmother to Bethel and Marah. Gramma started taking care of both sisters after their mother passed away. No one really knows Gramma’s true name, but everyone seems to know Gramma and about her infamous reputation throughout Raushida. As such, Gramma’s a bit of an enigma. She’s spry, feisty, and has a mouth like a sailor. She wouldn’t have it any other way.

Summary: Rhongo is a spear and thrown weapons expert who is out to make a name for himself as a performer. He is able to throw any type of smaller weapon such as knives, hand axes, shuriken, and even money—much to Bethel’s dismay. Rhongo’s personality is similar to that of a carnival performer or showman—kind of flashy and over the top, though he is genuinely friendly. While he seems a little sheepish and afraid when first encountered, he can be truly brave in the moments that matter most.
