Hey folks! We hope you’re enjoying the demo for Mender’s Strife: An 8-Bit Fantasy. If you haven’t grabbed the demo yet, you can do so here. Don’t forget to give us feedback if you do give it try. Thanks to everyone who attended our demo release party over the weekend! It was amazingly awesome being able to receive feedback in a livestream environment and interact in realtime with a few of our fans. We’re delighted that everyone enjoyed the demo and are looking forward to find out what more folks think!
The demo is now available for download– for absolutely free. It’s playable on PC platforms.
Edit 5/15: Link updated below with the latest version of the demo (1.1). This version has a few fixes for glitches.

To play, just extract the ZIP file and double-click the EXE file that’s inside. You’ll be good to go! Don’t forget to save often!

Exciting news– the Mender’s Strife demo is ready for release! We’ll be releasing it tomorrow, April 23, 2017. It will be free to download and play and will be playable on PC.
To celebrate, we’re going to be holding a demo release party at 6 PM PST Sunday, April 23rd. We’ll be showing off a livestream of the demo on Twitch (DJSonikBuster will be playing through for her first time!) as well as sharing some music from the full game and holding a live Q&A session with the development team.

Hello world! If you’ve read our first update on the site, you may be familiar with the fact that we’re very close to fully completing the PC demo for Mender’s Strife. This means that everyone will soon get a taste of what the full game has in store.We’re hoping to release it in early spring 2017.
The demo will feature an alternate-style introduction to the story of Mender’s Strife. You’ll get to meet three main characters as well as a sampling of side characters and uh, a few interesting NPCSs. “Interesting.” Yeah, that’s totally the right word. Welcome to our lil’ blog corner for Mender’s Strife! Here we’ll be posting development news, announcements, updates, interviews, insight, media goodies, and a random assortment of fun stuff. Because we’re uh, fun and random like that. Well, sometimes anyway. Y’know, when the mood strikes.
Progress on the game has been going awesomely. It’s been going better than awesomely, in fact. It’s been going Mender-y! Just the other day I told our graphics guru that I needed a specific graphic for the last bit of the demo, and I found myself stumbling for words as I tried to describe what I needed. “I need something Mender-y!” I blurted out. So, yep. There you have it. Allllmost done. And quite Mender-y!
